the website says the 66SL ATA weighs 6.8 pounds! What's with that? Does ATA weigh 1.2 pounds?

So EIO, are you gonna lend me your 888?
Yea, I can't handle the white lowers. They must have gotten the weight wrong, you know, a typo error.

1.5lb heavier and don't forget the dinky stanchions on your boxxer either.

Fred, it's got to be a typo error. This year's 66SL is 5 and a half pounds. There's no way it gained over a pound with just a small change to the doppio cartridge.

The weight of the sl model was given in it's description, but the other two model descriptions do not include the weights. another reason to doubt the alledged weight of the sl.

thanks Scubapro. The weight table confirms my earlier suspicion. Sl weighs 2379 grams [probably without steer tube], which is 5.31 pounds. It's the RC2X that weighs 6.5 pounds [w/o steer tube].

Correct. + 255g for reinforced alloy steertube = 5.8 pounds for 66SL ATA.

    Hay guys

<table align="center" border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="2" width="100%"><tbody><tr valign="top"><td class="products-series-td-2007-66">66 RC2X</td> </tr> <tr class="products-specs-td-scuro" valign="top"> <td align="right"> <table id="stampa" border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="1" width="100%"> <tbody><tr> <td>66 RC2 ETA </td> <td align="right">66 SL 1 ATA </td> </tr> </tbody></table> </td> </tr> <tr valign="top"> <td>The 66 is the long travel single crown fork that many try to imitate but none can duplicate. This fork delivers with function and technology. This year we’ve integrated the all new ATA system into the fork as well as ETA in case you need to climb instead of shuttle your closest trail. Progressive riders demand a fork that works on the big drops with the freedom of a single crown. The 66 is the only choice.

    <table class="products-series-td-2007-66" border="0" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1"> <tbody><tr> <td class="box-interno-td">- 180mm Travel
    - RC2 Adjustability
    - Coil Spring
    - Reinforced Alloy Steer Tube & Crown
    - 35mm Alloy Tapered Stanchions
    - 6” Post Mount (Max Disc 8”)
    - 20mm Axle</td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></tbody></table>am I reading this right RC2x with ATA and ETA

No, you are reading a poorly written webpage. The SL has ATA, the RC2 has ETA, and the RC2X has neither.

My new 2007 ETX RC4 m-FRX has the new spring tension FSBv. They've also integrated an air-assisted DRG valve in the MT-05 chamber for extra preload in low damping situations. I'm really excited about this advance from last year's MT-04 chamber, which overloaded in repetitive impacts due to the oil fluctuation in the side chamber - thank gawd they've addressed this!!!! All in all, the ride will be so much improved - and it lost 0.5 grams!

    Well done, Marzocchi!!!!

Cheers I thought it was weird, um sounds like an 07 66 RC2X might be too in flexible for my RFX A2C increased more travel and seems non adjustable internally, could be an SL now or Lyrik, found out we are only getting the 2 step lyrik in NZ um want coil but seem to always end back up on air..

Someone convince me the 07 66 SL with ATA will be the Shizz for me RFX

    Cheers team

Its gotta be a typo since they are saying that the 888 SL ATA is only 6.5 lbs.
