    Mammoth Mountain !

this weekend I had the experience of seeing what mammoth mountain had to offer. The mountain is full of really loose trails that, above all else give you training and confidence in letting your tires float through turns without much traction. I mean some times I felt as if the snow hadn't melted and it just looked like dirt. The majority of the maintained trails were very manageable and really fun! The main DH courses are sweet, they have several wooden wallride berms that are smooth. There's also a bunch of drops to wooden platforms. The moutain tore up my tires from all the small rocks but it was definitely a blast! I'll be heading back up there for the California States cup Final (www.southridgeusa.com).

I met up with some fellow Turner Riders on the slopes and found that "Andy" had brought his Highline, RFX and 5-Spot to the hill and was letting his two friends from Santa Barbara ride them. They also had a friend with them that was kind enough to snap some photos of the Turner Triad at the top of the hill. Thanks!!

Anyways, I recommend getting up to this mountain but be ready for gravel, sand, and rocks!

Mammoth is fun! Especially when there is snow.

mammoth is rockin this year. once you get used to the floaty drifty feel of the pumice, it's pretty awesome. you can just start railing things, shoveling tons of pumice in turns, doing course corrections without turning your bars. it's a madhouse

can't wait for the race in 3 weeks. it's gonna be epic

It's kind of hard to see in this picture, but this is the Prowler MX 2,5 after basically 8 hours of time spent on the mountain. Plus some riding before hand but only around a month total. The mountain pumice shredded this tire. The inside of the outside knobs are ripping off
