    Good job! JAFP - Just Another Five Pack

    I like DW-Spot - I really do ! There's only one thing keeping me from buying one - it's my 2006 RFX . It's my primary rig for quite some time now, and every time I ride it I'm greening from ear to ear.
    "The Better is The Good worst enemy" thats what they say. So instead of buying a new bike I've just refreshed my current RFX.

    First I needed a good painter to give my bike a new look. To verify the skills of a painter I asked him to paint my lid. And here is my Giro Xen "Steve McQueen LeMans Edition":

    before:

    <img src="https://lh4.ggpht.com/_piAtswInSJM/SwvDKLioHuI/AAAAAAAAGcM/yA3tJh50ubA/s400/giro_xen_niebieski.jpg" />

    after:

    <img src="https://lh5.ggpht.com/_piAtswInSJM/StQurbhXo0I/AAAAAAAAF_M/Fps-2ou-PRU/s400/IMG_6345.jpg" />

    <img src="https://lh6.ggpht.com/_piAtswInSJM/StQusJVt-8I/AAAAAAAAF_U/ZR5OTUXmSe0/s400/IMG_6347.jpg" />

    <img src="https://lh6.ggpht.com/_piAtswInSJM/StQur_gyz-I/AAAAAAAAF_Q/IcK-i8MzReA/s400/IMG_6346.jpg" />

    Not bad, huh ? So while I was choosing a new paint, I've ordered decals, and some extra stuff to make it a real change:

    1. 5.3" rockers
    2. 5spot/flux 2006 rear end
    3. ZTR Flow rims
    4. Rock Shox Revelation Team U-Turn Air 2010
    5. Thomson 70mm silver stem
    6. Gravity Dropper Turbo
    7. WTB Laser Team saddle

    And here's what happened:

    before:
    <img src="https://lh3.ggpht.com/_piAtswInSJM/SvxgQ9i33CI/AAAAAAAAGW4/FjvAa5rd_8Q/s400/2008_09_29_turner1.jpg" />

    after:

    <img src="https://lh6.ggpht.com/_piAtswInSJM/Svxggzeu2JI/AAAAAAAAGXk/_093hTaNbYE/s400/IMG_6477.jpg" />

    OK, so now it was time for the painter to do his job !

    <img src="https://lh6.ggpht.com/_piAtswInSJM/Svxgj08GakI/AAAAAAAAGXw/eSAkJvPW2sc/s800/IMG_6487.jpg" />

    And the last updates:

    1. Chromag Ranger 70mm Pewter stem
    2. 7.785x2.25 Fox RP23 shock, so it's 6" of travel once again, but the bike lost over 1lbs ! (CS, SS, rocker and shock)

    <img src="https://lh6.ggpht.com/_piAtswInSJM/Swuof_4r6mI/AAAAAAAAGbs/yU9v29KDJWQ/s800/IMG_0026_tonemapped.jpg" />

    That's possibly a new frankenturner category - RFX Light . 29.1 lbs as pictured !

    Yesterday I've shimmed HV RP23 canister to prevent excessive bottom out. I'm ready ! At least until I have another stupid idea

    Nice build! And it looks good, too.
    Crunchy. Even in mud.

    Kickarse!
    My 6P gave me the same feelings! It had my Spot collecting dust for quite a while.

    I dig the helmet treatment. Niiiiice.
    Faster is better, even when it's not.

    sweet as a squirrel's nut, mate.

    i've just stuck a 150 rev on my 5.5pack - complements it nicely, though the travel wind-down seems a bit redundant. 28lb but i'm well jealous of your paintjob and longer shock....
