    Hope 165mm rotors

A little OT here, but help me out...

So it would appear that last weekend's shenanigans have taken their toll on my 6" rear rotor. I'm running the old, two piece caliper, Hope mini brakes. I have the original wavy rotors. The 165mm rotor on the back is now severely warped, and the local shops/distributor can't help me out. Anyone any idea if similarly sized rotors from Avid/Shimano etc will work? I know nowadays most rotors are interchangeable but I'm concerned that, due to the brakes age/Englishness this might not be the case.

Anyone any first had experience of what works?

    Cheers!

    Ted

Most if not all rotors are the same thickness with the exception of Shimano rotors (they are a little thinner). With that in mind all you really need to do is match the diameter of the rotor and you are all set. If you are not able to find a 165 then you might be able to get away with a 160 if you really have to, but you will have about 2.5mm of brake pad that won't make contact with the rotor.
