    The Highline is HERE!!

    So it showed up today,
    10lbs 8oz.not bad!
Came with a Shimano Saint 12x150 steel axle and this badass der hanger that fits into the Saint keyway on the driveside dropout.

It's raw and has brown goo from heat treat in corners here and there.

It's CS Yoke is asym to clear the F der and has 1 pocket on the drive side on the underside and 1 pocket coming in from the left side like a 6 pack sorta.Cool! It looks solid from the drive side since it's narrower and the pocket is on the underside.

Cable routing is on the top of the downtube just like i like it (discussed a lot allready on the other thread).

    OK pics coming soon.

    Krispy

Not a bad initial weight. What stock spring weight does it ship with? Im stoked to have a lighter bike again. Im making some upgrades from my DHR on this build that will drop some, and plan to run a lighter wheelset compared to my old Doubletrack boat anchors... This matched with a dual ring, I may just have a new trailbike...

My question is who's highline is it?? Someone has to have dibs on it...

Since no one else has posted it yet, here you go (pulled from the Go-ride site). Interesting that it's painted, yet the hi-rez pic is the raw material as advertised. Buddy of mine just ordered his last week. Something about a 3-week lead time...

Here's the link to the full size/high rez so as not to kill the bandwidth challenged:

Ha, I just wanted the chance to throw him under the bus....I'm not all that excited about the Highline, I gave up two years ago on a big hit Turner, got the VP Free and love it so much, the whole Highline craze just passes me by...

besides, I have a HL Spot frame across the street waiting to get built up
an XCE that needs to get sold
an RFX frame hanging on the rack at home
and a Evil DOC that hasn't seen a dirtjump in a couple of months (compressed c6/c7 disk - possibly ruptured - MRI this morning... :-(

on edit, do just fine with da ladies, thanks

    Bright dipped

The frame in that picture was anodized, and bright dipped as well. So it ended up shiny and scratchy as well as it did not go through the 2 polishing steps as the other models do. Not good. So we are bead blasting, NOT shot peening them to give the surface a flat black look, but not rough. Very Mil Spec look. They will also be available in natural colored alu without any color or shine.

    Sorry from poopy head Leprechaun

Sorry it took a day or so...
Day 1 : Frame arrives late in the afternoon and i just wanted to tell people they actually existed for real!
Day 2: Wife gets really sick and goes to hospital.Krispy stays home.Krispy gets called a poopy head who is shorter than a stack of pancakes.
Day 3: VW takes over web guy job after James is gone and Brent the new guy quits and moves back to Cali where he can find easier trails to ride and smoke cigarettes.
Thanks to VW for hookin up the pics for Krispy-who will stomp you on climbs and descents but sucks with computer.

Kris, you know we think we can kid with you like this; some of us actually know you, and many of us know of your riding skills, and respect you as a human being.
The bait was just too good though!
That's why I can't take any days off from hanging out in the turner forum; the minute you're gone, you become fodder for the hungry hoards!
I hope your wife is feeling better!

To keep the cables/hose so that they bend with the main pivot instead of getting squashed up high and bent up/out like on the other turner frames.

Something done very right on the highline in my opinion.

I really feel part of the crowd here now that i have been picked on!
No harm felt on this end-except of the poor remarks of The Bell-let me tell you a little story about the beloved Bell.
1971-Dad picks up mom on a trail 110 on 10th grade for their 1st date.Takes her to see On Any Sunday (in the theater!) then scoots over to the Bell where they sit and have a meal.Dad squirts hot sauce on himself, then picks a scab off his elbow revealing some gravel that was imbeded in the flesh. My mom says that's when she knew she was in love.Dad procedes to take mom to On Any Sunday 6 more times on dates.

Not only is the Bell part of the family it's still the best poor man's food around.Does me right every time.Note-no go on the ground beef or fried Chalupas.Stick to the 7 layer and chicken soft tacos and you'll be fine.

OK wife called and she's beggin me to come home. These pics are the reason i came in this morning since i knew for sure i was being scalded non stop here!

    Later fellas.

Like everyone else said, just messing with ya. I have'nt eaten there in years as the food has come back to haunt me later. I do feel tempted to stop by there sometimes as it always tasted sooooo good, and you can't beat the amount of food to $money$ you can get there. Anyways looking forward to a writeup on the Highline from someone. I know I couldn't do the bike justice but there seems to be a few people on this forum who can and will...

    Krispy,
    1) Hope the wife is doing better....

    2) You are not a poopy head.

    3) About being short... I don't know how to break this to you... Let's just say the Jazz won't be recruiting you for starting center anytime soon... However, I would guess you to be about 3 stacks tall..
