The Highline formerly known as . . . El C's Highline.

Is what I'm riding in this video. Trail is the Dr. J Freeride trail in North Park, PA.

The Highline is not so much a bike, more like a set of big aluminum balls . Before I got the Highline, I'd never run a drop greater than around 1 1/2 feet, and mostly at Ray's MTB. Also never took a big jump. The Highline takes so much abuse in stride that it just encourages you to try bigger and bigger features.

Within a week or so of getting this bike, I'd ridden several trails and features that I was chicken to try on my XC bike ('07 Stumpjumper), ridden off a 3 1/2 foot drop to flat, gone down hills at speeds that I thought I'd never reach. Lately, I've ridden DH at Seven Springs in PA - something I thought I'd never do.

Couple of compenants have changed - I added:

    Saint crankset/BB
Thomson post, Thomson clamp, Deity DH seat (still use the AM post for more XCish rides)
    Atomlab quickstep pedals (LOVE these)
Maxxis Minion DHF 2.7 front, Minion DHR 2.4 doublewall rear (only have the rear temporarily, will be a DHF 2.5 EXO again soon)
Cane Creek XCII headset, fsr headset spacers
    Diety Dirty 30 bars

Thanks to DT for building it & to El C for parting with it.

BTW: I think I might own the only Highline in the state of Ohio. Could be wrong there but I've never seen another one in this state. Please feel free to call me out if I'm wrong here . . .

    Fun trail! Ride it!
Faster is better, even when it's not.

Nice B-mac! Glad to see the Highline still in action. I'm still holding my breath for the new RFX.
