    Head tube shavings??

    Greetings,

I dropped the fork out of my 5 Spot this weekend and noticed some metal shavings/flakes inside the head tube. Should I be concerned more than I am? The fork is a Float 140 that is off to Push for some love with its friend the RP23 from the Spot.

The shavings look suspiciously like the material of the spacers on the steer tube....

Thanks in advnace for any wisdom,
    Bobo

I'd say it could be from when the headset was pressed in and wasn;t noticed. Riding could have shaken the shavings into the open.
Even though headsets have a chamfer , that chamfer could have an edge on it and scrape the headtube on the way home.
I think there should be a radius there instead.

Lots of shavings? Must have come from the vents to the top tube or down tube. That would surprise me on a Turner.

Shavings in the steerer tube? Prob. from cutting it down.

    Cheers!
