    GNAR TOTY - Nominations

Big horses only. For shredding and flying the Gnar. Gotta be burly. Don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

Submitting Grex's tastefully blinged DHR, though couldn't find full build post.

I still have mine, wonder how much they would sell for on eBay. They need to be washed, all the years of my adolescence left them in mess.

    good point

one of the rules we tossed around before was ride shots must be included in the nomination process.

Thanks for the nomination. A few changes since then. Black Chris King bottom bracket (very nice smooth drivetrain now), Alligator Windcutter rotors (light and they work really good), Mavic 823 UST rims and tubeless Big Bettys, ditched the Maxle and went back to stock axle, replaced carbon bars with some Syncros bars.

Fork just got back from Marz (08 66 RC3) with new crown, uppers and steerer tube, should be good to go. I took all the stickers off.
    Have a nice ride!

    it is voting time yet?

since airwreck is too much of a pu$$ (and I'm too lazy to find that shot of him skying and styling his HL out over the deck)......it's obvious from the proposals which would get my casting couch...

This gets a sticky for what reason?

Who died? Or has the Mexican drug cartels invaded the mtbr office?

Sorry Francis, your business practices have really slipped.

ill have to post my dhr up when i get it. itll be pretty pimp, with a gold and purple color scheme... the frame is one of the go-ride ones, in silver and black. the wheels will be purple spank rims on gold hope hubs, with interlacing black and silver spokes/nipples. purple bars, gold grips. eventually, she'll have a 40, ti spring, and some other nice bits. but for now, ill have to settle for my pos marzo 888. oh and some other parts: gravity light cranks, saint shadow derailer/shifter, and a sea foam green srs. ill have a build thread up when i get the frame. should be soon as i just ordered the frame and some of the parts like a couple hours ago.

Kathleen: what is up with your fork's stanchions?!
They should not be uneven, as visible above your upper crown.

It probably sounds pretty bad when she bottoms. I think there is some "built in" Top Out protection on the Boxxer. The right leg naturally has more extension than the left. She just needs to even them out at the crown interfaces.

ahhhh! I don't think I ever bottomed out yesterday on the debut runs, but I did have a few odd noises on the bigger hits. I've never had a dual crown fork - was clueless on setting it up and was too excited to actually stop and look up directions. I will drop the higher one down to be level.... thanks guys!

Looks like GITA is taking shape. You gonna make that? The Aspens are already dropping some leaves, at least in the Jemez they are.

2nd what MTN biker says nice bike and cool shots o the 3durt girls all DHRs" not sure about that middle one, look a bit different in the rear just can;t quite pick it up! Big bikes have a way of changing things for good

Geez well spotted, eek I would change that ASAP, myself lucky ya just a feather weight on the top clamp there's a pinch bolt on wither side maybe 2 can't remember with the Boxxer I think one just loosen off and measure from the top of the stanchion to move back into place at even distance from the top, best not to have the top clamp to close to the top of the stanchion imo until ya know what ya doing, just looks like the side closest to you has slipped maybe, hopefully it didn't come for the G guys like that re tighten to torque before riding again lol that's the important part and go rip, am envious nice rig nice sensible specc, enjoy and go and whip that MTN biker in his home turf, no doubt he'll want a DHR then too

Oh and you look like you have the oleschool head badge?

Nice shot Airwreck you going great guns!
