    DW Sultan tire rub

I was just cleaning up my Sultan and noticed that I've got some tire rub on the back of the seat tube. I've been running some prototype Maxxis 2.4 Ardents the last couple of weeks. Great tire, but looks like it may be too big Anyone else seen any tire rub on their new Sultan?

I was running the RR 2.4's and never had an issue with rub on my Sultan. What pressure in the shock are you running/ how much sag? I run mine at only about 20-22% sag which I know isn't the recommended 30% but it feels right to me. I suppose you could take all the pressure out of the shock and cycle it through the travel with the tire inflated to your riding psi, then check for rub and at what level in the stroke of the shock it happens at...

same tire and no rub on the Medium Sultan. As I mentioned, I suspect that it is due to rim size you have making that already tall tire just a bit too tall. I do get very minor chain rub on the tire in granny. It's not constant but it happens.
    Nothing to see here.

Send it down here to Miami and I'll confirm your findings. I put my 2.4s on the rigid SS - if I get seat tube rub, something's really wrong.

Try one of the Aspen's back there. Killer with the Ardent up front.

There is no way that tire is leaving Huntsville! I put dibbs on it just in case something happens to one of mine.

I did try that when I first got them, the Aspen is a great race tire, but it's not a Monte Sano trail tire.
