CO Homers...anyone up for a ride this Sunday?

    Local peeps.
I'm thinking of heading up Crosier Mtn this Sunday morning. Got something to do early and shooting for a 10:30 am departure from Loveland. The ride will take 3-3:30 hours (or 6 if Cactus shows up ) + 20 minutes of drivetime each way.
Crosier is one of the premier rides in the area. It involves 90 minutes of sustained singletrack climbing followed by an almost 5 miles techy descent. Great stuff.

Let me know if there's any interest.

But can't. I'm running a 10k in Nederland with my 12yo daugher. (This ought to be real interesting as I don't run) Trying to be a good dad.

But sounds like a good time.

Squeak- I would but were talking about hitting the Buffalo creek area Sun, we need to do a front range homer ride though, up there or maybe a shuttle ride down here.

    Pine, CO.

Great trails, although not really technical (or at least the ones that I've ridden).

    Here for info:

I'm thinking about the Crosier ride on Sunday, but have been planning on doing a test run of some new backcountry camping gear Sat & Sun. If the weather looks cold and snowy/rainy then I may just wait till next weekend to get in my test run and go ride instead.

    Maybe.

I'm headed to Grand Teton/Yellowstone for a week of back country camping later this month, and I've been planning to do a field test of some new equipment Sat & Sun but may skip if the rain/snow continues. Not afraid of camping in those elements, but may postpone testing to next week.

I'll see what the weather situation is tomorrow afternoon and make a call then. If I don't end up hiking/camping, then I'll send you an email and make arrangements for some Crosier fun.

Snowed above 10k feet in Summit last night, potential that it could snow at 10k and above tomorrow night.

Here's a map on Buffalo creek, it has a fun section of the CT running thru it too, you can easily do 30+ miles of trail riding by connecting some trails and making a loop.

My advice, skip Buff Creek, break out the RFX and join Jamie on Crosier. Killer ride, if you liked the other one we did up there then you'll love Crosier too.

You've got me tempted, my buddies would be pissed, doubt they would be willing to change plans and drive an extra hour each way.

scrub- I grant you unoffical homer status
