13 year old frame, worth upgrading?

I have a Turner O2 with the 4" burner rockers, a Fox RP23 rear shock, and a Rock Shox Recon front shock with a 100-130mm range. All of the components are newer (I originally started with just the frame). I love the bike, it fits me nice and gets me by. Since the bike is now 13 years old, is it worth the improvements I would see by getting a new Flux or Burner? If it isn't I'll just keep it continue to enjoy, but I wonder how much of a difference 13 years of engineering can make.

I would go with a new version if it was me. Keep the O2 as a backup as it is a pretty cool bike. The DW link is amazing. My 11 Spot is an incredibly capable bike. Pedals better than my 03 Spot ever did, and yet with a bigger fork can handle gnar better than the old RFX.

If you do, I would recommend only upgrading that which could be moved to a newer frame:
Bar, stem, shifters, brakes, seat, etc. Not wheels, fork (your next bike will most likely be 27.5 or 29).

That's what sucks about getting a new bike is no longer being able to just get the frame. Now I'd need wheels, tires, and a new drive train because I only have 9 gears in the back (not that I'd need to change that but I might as well if I'm moving into a more modern bike).

I should also mention that the nearest place for me to demo the new Turners (Denver) is about 700 miles away. Maybe I'll have to wait until I go there sometime in the future to try one out.
