Wheel upgrade for 17 Fuel EX 8

    Hey
I'm wondering if upgrading my wheel set will make a big performance difference to my Fuel. I'm considering the Bontrager Line Pro 40 wheels with a set of Nobby nics 2.8 tires. Anyone else with a Fuel 8 make this upgrade and can provide feedback on how worthwhile it was?

    Thanks!

Yes, it would be the best upgrade you could make. The duster elite wheelset is a pig & flexy. The line pros are nice. I’d also recommend I9 enduros.

I have the 27.5+ version of the fuel and it comes stock with SUNringlé Duroc wheels. Do you still think i'll notice a big improvement?

I checkout out the I9 wheels however they are $2,300 for the carbon version. The Bontrager seems like a great value for a carbon wheel set.

I got some Roval Traverse SL carbon 38mm for sale if interested, they got 2.8's already on them. Super light and stiff

I was looking into the aluminum I9 Backcountry 360 however they are the same price as the Bontrager Line Pro 40's which are carbon ($1200).

I have a ‘17 Fuel EX 9.8 and upgraded to Bontrager Line Pro 30 as I’m not running plus size tires but will say they’ve been fantastic for me, The engagement is great and the feel is a vast improvement in the wheels my bike came with.
