2017/2018 Fuel Ex 9.8 Owners, couple of questions!

Going to pull the trigger on a 2018 Fuel Ex 9.8 29r Eagle as soon as they become available for me. This will be my first plastic mountain bike so I have a couple of questions.

    1. What parts of the frame/stays etc should I put some vinyl or 3m to protect from scratches and dings and what kind of protection would you recommend? What parts on your Fuel 9.8s do you wish you had wrapped?

    2. What additional steps are there to taking care of a plastic bike like this? I am coming from two straight aluminum Fuel Ex 8s. Excited to give this OCLV a spin.

I have a 2016 but here's what I've noticed. I do have a rock chip on the bottom of my drive side chainstay so maybe a film there would help. Most issues would be from cables or my own pedals.
    1. The inside of the rear triangle by the caliper had film applied incorrectly so the brake hose rubbed quite a bit.
    2. My pedals/shoes were setup so I had a tendency to rub the top of the rear triangle with my heal sometimes while pedaling, scuffing the paint just a bit.

I've buffed out scratches in my paint from normal use and keep a coat of wax on it from time to time. It is easier to clean that way. The way I see it, I'm more interested in protecting my glossy baby blue paint. The bottom tube is protected with that factory guard and does a good job.

Ride it once, look for the rub spots, and slap an appropriately-sized piece of helicopter tape on those spots.

My only real spot of concern was the rear brake line, as noted above.
    Whining is not a strategy.
