Changing from SBG Scout to SBG Patrol Caron

I ride a lot of Singletrack and at bike parks here in the UK Iím not a good enough rider to do black runs or reds with large gap jumps.

But I am considering an SBG Patrol as I view it as a one bike to conquer all riding conditions.

I did have an SB6c but found it quite boring on anything flat. Is the Patrol still a playfull bike like the SBG Scout?
Will the Patrol still be fun on single track riding.

For this in the UK, Happy Life at Afan is just about my technical limit. Found it hard work on the Scout on the chunky stuff.

I suspect the Scout will actually be a better all rounder than the Patrol if you're not smashing through hectic rocky or rooty sections.

The Patrol has a lot more travel than the Scout. The Scout is more of a well-rounded trail bike. I am actually building mine as we speak! It will complement my Sentinel and I plan to ride it mostly in bike parks and some singletrack. Here in the Pacific Northwest, we have tons of Patrols everywhere on the trails.

A couple of my friends have Patrols but it seems to be too much bike for what they like to do (tame bike park rides). My buddy just rides his Patrol around bike parks when it should be going buck wild down the side of a mountain.

Lots of people in the Inland NW on Patrols also, haven't seen anyone on a Scout yet. Skye Schillhammer had his Scout setup for dirt jumping, but judging by his instagram, he might've moved over to the Patrol also.
We don't ride to add days to our life, we ride to add life to the days we have left here.
