What's the best way to get trail maintenance done?

A section of the Great Western Trail in the Wasatch Mountains is very overgrown and in serious need for maintenance. It's all Forest Service land so does the FS have a phone number to call for suggestions? Is the current administration funding projects for trail maintenance?

It's really remote, the only option to get tools in would be with a pack horse. It's a great section of trail but quite a bit of it is hike-a-bike due to it being over grown and parts to too steep and rocky to ride.

It would be a great volunteer project but due to the remoteness of the sections that need work, I don't think volunteers could get to it without committing a few days.

Depends on the managers and your relationship with them. Suggest you get in touch.

I don't know that area at all but it sounds like it's in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest? If so, try this link:
