What a great place to ride when it's super hot.
There's a big difference between ripping and skidding. Those who skid don't know how to ride.

Or when it gets and stays super nasty. In MidTN (only a couple hours away from this) we get long periods of freeze/thaw activity that can basically shut some of the trails around here down for a month at a time. We're already planning a trip up there for that time period shortly after it opens.

As a side note, my random thought for the day: An underground MTB trail? This is the greatest act of Strava Terrorism ever perpetrated. No one's GPS will work underground ....

Someone needs to fabricate strava segments for it. Then watch everyone trying in vain to get their GPS to pick up. Hours of entertainment. :-)

Louisville, represent! We're also getting a new outdoor bike park, and a few other trail systems are in the planning stages too.

There's a park similar to this near me but its for quads and motos. 75 miles of trails

Mines & Meadows ATV/RV Resort offers ATV and dirt bike enthusiasts in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio a truly unique experience with more than 75 miles of trails on 650 acres that cover the full spectrum of riding skills from beginner through advanced. We have also added more than 8 miles of new single track (dirt bike only) trails that will test even the most experience riders. While our trails provide tremendous challenges, they are groomed for safety. What really sets Mines & Meadows apart though is underground riding through abandoned limestone mines. These mines provide matchless thrills with underground lakes, total darkness and numerous surprises that help make each journey unforgettable.

I was able to ride this the other day and it was fantastic. It's only about 1/10th done right now.
Time for me to build a dirt jumper.

I was talking to someone from Mega Caverns at the Brown County Epic. They'll have some stuff more suited to the type of riding I like to do. When that stuff is added, I'll certainly be planning a trip down there. Great for winter riding when I don't want to bundle up and freeze. Great for spring riding when the trails are still sloppy. Only a couple hours away. Sweet!

^ That's what I'm excited about, that and a pump track (I'm assuming they'll be at least one). This is the only pic of the singletrack I've seen, but from what I hear the trails will be legit: https://www.facebook.com/louisvillem...type=3&theater

I asked and was told that a pump track is coming.

Nate, did they say anything about rescheduling the promo ride they had planned a few months back that was cancelled?

Was not told about that but some other riders told me that a supposed 10 rider promo became over 100 because someone blabbed on facebook about it.

It did. It was on Facebook for about an hour. I was lucky enough to see it.

I actually like the idea of their BBQ and bands along with tours. Might have been too much to handle at that point.
I do want to get there and check it out.

We heard about this on a recent trip to in the area. I love Ft. Duffield, O'Bannon, Waverly and Brown County.
