A bridge building trip report (TR) fun!

    Or "what I did today".
So, three of us started off hauling old barnwood siding, tools, and whatnot a few miles (and some climbing) into Red Creek, which needs some TLC, and presents a few creek crossing options.
    Pack is WAY heavy.

Materials delivered, we measure, and cut headers and stringers from the forest deadfall.

We roll logs in place, notch, and fasten.

    line up barnwood, and screw!

    Has anybody seen the bridge?

Nice bridge. I was wondering what kind of land this was on and if you got permission to do it? We had some really nice bridges in my area made with pressure treated wood that were up for years. So anyway a few years ago they were torn down by the forest service. Something about no official paper work for the bridges could be found. Unbelievalbe!!! I guess thats how the government works sometimes.

This is on FS land, this bridge is a follow up to an official FS trail day two weeks ago.
They have full knowledge of the work.
We have a very cool scene going on up here in regards to cooperation with the FS.
