Mountain cranks in a PF86 shell?

I'd like to run XT Hollowtech cranks in a road frame with a PF86 shell. Do you run spacers between the press fit BB and frame shell like on a english threaded BB frame? Or spacers on the crank spindle? Something has to take up the extra spindle length somewhere in the system.

    Thank you

I'm on pf30, and my spacers are on the spindle.

That's good to know. Same interface style so I think it should work.

I would also suggest spacing it out at the spindle. Taking away 3mm of engagement from each bb cup seems like too much in this application. Wheels and a few other manufacturers have 24mm spacers available.
