    marzocchi marathon s

I just got back from the store with a new marathon, and I'm getting ready to put it on. I was wondering if the fork is already pre-loaded with oil? The owner's manual for this thing sucks, and doesn't explain much.

Well it should have oil in it and be ready

to use, but I have heard of otherwise in a few cases. If, after you install it and set it up, it doesn't function correctly then I'd think about popping it open and checking oil level. Their manuals are uh, interesting (I used to have to deal with a variety of Italian catalogs and manuals and there must be something odd about translating to English that goes on). Marzocchi seals take a while to break in, so give it some time for that plushness to develop.

I just finished installing it. Pretty easy job, just took my time, and all went well. Actually it was harder adjusting the brakes than doing the fork install. It is very nice!
