    Idea! If you build it...

Alright, the most popular request for a step by step guide has got to be the granddaddy of them all, bike building. Everyone on here either has, or would at some point love to, build a bike up from scratch - there's just nothing like riding something you gave birth to yourself as opposed to something you just rolled out of a store with.

So the challenge... who wants to step up and write a step by step guide on bike assembly? From the frame and components sitting on the floor in front of you, to riding off into the sunset? (Or is it already out there, I just haven't come across it yet?)

Most of us have a life and can't devote a book's worth of typing time - as the likes of Zinn and Park Tool already have.

Park Tools web-site's very good and I find it very interesting. If you can buy "Zinn's" book, do it, you won't regret it, for sure. I got mine after all. Try also bikemagicDOTcom - in the "Know How" Section, there is some interesting info. too. I've already built a bike from scratch with the help of these. Good luck.
