    Carcon Fibre Handlebars

When inslalling carbon fibre handlebars - could someone please advise:

    1. how/where to take of rough edges on stem
    2. any tips for installing light bases eg. putting clear film around bars first etc
    3. general maintenance tips

    Any other advice?

    Cheers, Jawry

    Pretty easy

In general, carbon bars are pretty easy to install. If your stem has rough edges that might goug or scrape the bar, perhaps just debur with a light file. Otherwise, the bars do not require any special tape or film, just clean all the stem and lever clamp surfaces and do not over tighten. No grease needed, at least for Easton bars and posts.
Question to a custom frame builder..."So what makes your bikes climb better?"....his answer, "Uh, your legs?"
