Where to ride in the Waco, to Ft. Worth arear?
My buddy and I are intermediate riders and we go just about every weekend to Cameron Park in Waco. We have been looking for more places to ride that are like Cameron Park. We are willing to go with in a 100 mile radius of Stephenville or Whitney (he lives in one town and I live in the other). We have been talking about maybe some places in the DFW, but not really sure where they are or know if they are worth driving to.

    We've already been to:
    Cleburne State Park,
    Dinasour Valley State Park,
Mineral Wells State Park (AKA Mineral wells trail way),
    and Cameron Park,

And we are looking for more, especially if they are like Cameron Park.....

I live south of Cleburne and my regular rides are Dino. Valley, Cleburne State Park, Solavaca, Sansom Park. Not much else like Cameron that I've ridden around these parts ( I do ride Cameron ). However if you head south check out Revielle Peak Ranch in Burnet. Also north in St. Joe there's Bar H Ranch although I have not been out there in a while and last I heard it was shut down for trail maintenance. Just visit MountainBikeTx.com and check out all the areas have to offer!

I haven't ridden Cameron so I can't comment on how others compare, but DORBA has links to lots of trails in the DFW area. Cedar Hill State Park and Big Cedar are both good places in the south part of the metroplex. Sansom Park is my favorite though.

I looked at the first website earlier and it has some super cool places.... It just re-assured me that some time in the fall I really really want to go to Palo Duro Canyon and go ride!
