Way too wet this entire weekend. Don't ride there.

I don't have any details, but some friends of mine went to Austin this past weekend, and mentioned that they rode Walnut Sunday.

I imagine it's dry by now. 90 today and for the next 2 or 3 days. We got about 4in of rain at my place but it was really in a single 4 hour stretch, ground dries pretty quick in that case.

It's all good now. Walnut is fine with a couple of damp spots. Brushy is the same. Here's a twitter account that gives Brushy Creek trail conditions. It's by a guy who lives in the neighborhood behind it and rides 4-5 times weekly.

(edit) A good general rule for Walnut is one day of drying per inch of rain. Not always true, but generally acceptable.

The general rule for WC is 2 days after after a rain it should be ok to ride, provided we got less than an inch. More than an inch? Give it 3-4 days.

I realize that people are often limited to riding only on weekends. but it is better to respect the trails than your schedule. There are always other places to ride that drain better. Drive the extra miles and ride somewhere that is dry.

Walnut is good to go and primo right now. Yesterdays rain was short lived and evaporated quickly.
