    I overslept... :-(

Got there @ almost 8am and rode my ~ 16ml loop. I was REALLY slow so I am glad I rode alone.

Are you guys riding tomorrow? Send me a PM and lets see if we can hook up later this week...

Just got back from Government and I think I ran into a young mountain lion.

I was riding up twin oaks almost about to hit Sendero when I spotted the cat up ahead of me about 30 yards or so. As soon as it saw me it bolted down the trail, (I did the same thing in the other direction). It was hard to judge from the distance but I'd say it was around 4 times the size of an adult house cat.It had a smooth coat that was yellow orange, no spots or stripes. I couldn't believe how vibrant the orange was. The only other marking I could make out was that i think the inner ear was white while the outer edges had some black. I can say for sure it wasn't a house cat and it definitely didn't look like a bobcat from the images I just googled.
Anyone else seen cats like this in the area?

There are tons of bobcat's and mountain lions in the hill country area of Texas. Would not surprise me if you saw a bobcat.

Sounds like it from your description. I've heard that you shouldn't turn tail and run because then you look like prey instead of predator. They're actually pretty shy as you noticed..
