    Purina, Lubbock (Bridge? What bridge?)

So I've read several reviews of the Purina trail in Lubbock and they all mention a rickity bridge crossing. I've only been out to that trail three times but one of those times I made a pretty thorough search for that bridge but couldn't find it. The most recent mention of it is from September of 2003 so I wonder if it has fallen or been torn down. Does anyone know??

Thanks for helping out a newbie,

I've not heard of a bridge at purina, but I didn't make it all the way through this weekend when derailluer had some issues. I'll be on the lookout for it next weekend.

I spoke to some of the guys that ride this trail and they told me that the city tore down the bridge in question. There are two smaller bridges that run over a gully. They're only about six feet long and very sturdy.

    See ya on the trail!

I have my bike up and running again (I keep breaking stuff). Several of us are planning to go out to purina tomorrow (sunday) morning at about 10am. You're more than welcome to tag along if you'd like.

Thanks for the invite, I didn't see it in time to make it out with you guys on Sunday. Do you participate in the group ride at MLK on Thursdays? It starts at 6:30 pm from the trailhead. Come on out.

I've been out there on thursdays for the ride at MLK, but I don't make it regularly. Summer school ends for me tomorrow, so maybe after that.
