    Lake Whitney trails

Does anyone know of any trails in the immediate area? If know of Waco, but I was hoping there were some trails closer.

    Thanks.

Are you going to the mountains? Mt Whitney's Mountaineer's Route is the second most popular route in Whitney trails in Texas. The climbing line takes you up a steep couloir that separates the northeast ridge from the east buttress of Mt Whitney.

I'm thinking you got lost somewhere between the California and Texas forum boards. There is most definitely no mountains in Whitney Texas. Turns out Mount Whitney is in the Sierra Nevadas as I have found out.

To the O.P. definitely go to Dinosaur Valley state park in Glen Rose. Arguably some of the best mountain biking in North Texas! Also in Glen Rose you have Solavca Ranch https://solavaca.com/. There is also Cleburne state park roughly 18 miles east off of hwy 67.
