Houston Rider Looking for Folks to Link Up With!

    Hey all!

Moved from the Seattle area to Houston last year and finally settled in enough to go out and replace the bike I'd sold prior to the big move. Just checking to see if anyone wants to go on some rides. I'm a super duper amateur rider who has only done a few technical and other green rides back in Seattle. Most of my riding was on basic trails at Duthie, with a few technical rides in the Black Diamond area of Maple Valley. I mostly stuck to the road, as I'd initially purchased the bike to ride around town with he family, but grabbed a mountain bike due to its stronger build.

Anyway, I hope to hear from some of you!

Welcome to Houston belatedly. I am a road biker but check GHORBA.org for rides and trails. Some people ride at Memorial Park, Sam Houston State Park in Huntsville. Also there are some people have groups on Meetup.com too.

Crap, I typed up a big long summary for you, then it didn't post.
    Check the following facebook groups:

    "Sugar Land MTB Trails"
    "Anthills MTB (Official Group)"
    "Cypress Creek MTB Trail"
    "Memorial Park MTB (Official)"

I live in Sugar Land and would be happy to show you around. We have group rides on Tuesdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 9am. Download the Trailforks app to see all the trails in the area.

Hi, my name is Bill and I live in Cypress. I ride Cypress creek and Cypresswood several times a week. Occasionally I get down to Anthills, Oyster creek and Brazos. Also, I lived in Seattle for 12 years and just moved back to Houston a couple years ago. I used to ride Duthie, Tiger Mtn and St Edwards Park/Finn Hill quite a bit. I would be happy to show you around sometime. Shoot me a pm!

Please forgive my extremely delayed reply. Was in the middle of a semester that included organic chem 2 and A&P. I'm also taking summer courses and am married with kids. Life is super busy, but I am ready to get out on a trail and get back in shape. I suck, but I love riding!

Shoot me a PM and let's connect! I'm likely going to find a simple trail to ride tomorrow (today, the 14th), but would always prefer a guide as I've been on very few rides period and one in Houston since moving here!

Hi Bill! So great to meet someone who knows Seattle! I miss Duthie! I didn't get out there nearly enough, but what a great place to work on skills. The demo days up there were amazing. No cost ad plenty of brands to try out! Will shoot you a PM!
