New question here. Good Mountain Biking trails within 50 Miles of Corpus Christi

I just began mountain biking and while I have learned to bunny hop, wheelie, track stop, and a bunch of other cool tricks from YouTube videos and practice, I have yet to ride my first trail. I have been riding bmx for the majority of my life so I know my way around a bike. Are there any good novice-intermediate trails in a 50 mile radius of Corpus Christi? I have done research and found a few, but I would like some suggestions from you guys. Thanks.
I just began Mountain Biking, and it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Is there even a natural non-sand dune hill within 50 miles of corpus?

Oso creek park and Holly hike and bike trails are literally the only thing I could find without a few hundred miles. But, it isn't super surprising. The Texas gulf coast is one of the flattest 800 or whatever miles of land I've ever seen.

That's what I thought. There really aren't very many without going to San Antonio or Austin.

From Portland to OP Schnabel Park takes 1 hour and 50 minutes. The trails on Leon Creek Greenway that are accessible from OP are amazing. I realized that I'm WAY underskilled...so for now me and the kiddo have been playing at Oso Creek.

    Here's a vid I shot of my kiddo 1.15.17

you live by the gulf. Take up kitesurfing. Similar stoke, great exercise, and no driving necessary

YEP, I would give up on MTB if I was you. When I lived in Corpus I did some kayak fishing. Kitesurfing sounds fun too.

Laredo will probably be the closest with a few decent trails. and I know a couple guys there who go across to Mexico to ride...get extra stoke dodging the cartel
