The Bicycles Outback Blowout race will be held the weekend of November 6th and 7th at Cameron Park in Waco, Texas so we’ve decided to hold a pre-ride plus group rides on Saturday November 6th. Scott Prugh of the Waco Bicycle Club will provide group leaders to show us the trails. We will offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced group rides so no one will be left out. The Waco Bicycle Club is offering a FREE Women’s Skills Clinic at 9:30 am for those who are interested. Women can sign up at Bikereg for this free event. See the link below. This ride is open to all riders and not just GHORBA members so bring your family and invite your friends. Riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

With more than 20 miles of twisting, multi-use trails, Cameron Park features one of the most recognized natural trail systems in Texas. Cameron Park encompasses a range of landscapes from wonderful tree-lined roads, limestone cliffs to the smooth Brazos River. One can enjoy the wildflowers, mountain bike the rugged trails, ride a horse around the bridle path, or play a round of disc golf. Cameron Park is one of the state’s largest municipal parks and an outdoor-lover’s dream. The 416 acres of Cameron Park offer something for everyone. For the water lover, the Brazos and Bosque Rivers make for a fun day of fishing, canoeing, or kayaking, complete with easy-access boat ramps. There is no charge to enter the park.
In the event of rain we will select another park to ride.
