    Favorite Dallas wheel builder?

Who do you like? I've had mixed results from PC&F and Dallas Bike Works. Heard good things about Rockwall Cycling but never had any work done there. Doesn't have to be a shop either, I'm fine with independent builders so long as they're good. Any recommendations?

    Thanks.

I'm sure you've already had this done, but I've had two sets of wheels built by Dallas Bike Works and they've both been outstanding. But it is just two. What were your issues there, if you don't mind saying?

In general, I've had pretty good work done by Dallas Bike Works. My main issue right now is a set of I9 wheels that have a few spokes chronically losing tension. DBW worked on them last but the issue came back after just a few rides. I know I9 has a re-tensioning procedure that's supposed to fix this but so far I haven't had good luck getting the shops to perform this service. The last local independent guys I spoke to won't even touch I9 wheels so I'll probably see about just shipping them back to I9 for servicing.

Probably a bit late, but I had Jay Clarke, in Richardson, build my carbon AM wheelset. He was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job. PM me, if you would like his contact information or email him at [email protected]

He builds steel frame bikes also.
