    El Paso Skill Park

<a href="https://s53.photobucket.com/albums/g54/glassphisheye/?action=view&current=dj.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g54/glassphisheye/dj.jpg" border="0" alt="isaac"></a> One of the many new lines at the El Paso Rough Riders Skill Park. This place is sick with DJ style lines, a pumptrack and a couple of big MTB gaps. More to come soon.

Just got back today from there, 2 straight days of over 4 hours of DJ, definetely an awesome place with awesome dudes, just needs more frequent watering over the entire track.

The park is off left off of Resler onto High Ridge. The dirt jumps are way in the back by the hills on your left. Most people drive via the dirt road and park by the jumps. The zip code is 79912.

Have the jumps been abandoned? Looks like they haven't had anyone but little kids on them in ages.

Seems abandoned. Pump track is still rideable but soft. Most of the dirt jumps are too big for beginners anyway. I was hoping for some smaller-->medium sized jumps to help with progression, but oh well.

EDIT: I wouldn't call it a skills park. No drops, skinnys, ladders, etc. Just oval pump track and jumps.

So is this park over by the rec center off of highridge? I live on that side of town and have just gotten into Mountain biking, I have done the Franklin trails a bit but would like to try this park out. Monstruo maybe we can get together and go check it out.

Jumps were cool until city stopped supporting us. They were letting us use water trucks and tractors but then the budget crisis hit... All we need out there is a cosistent water source. The dirt was trucked in from the valley and needs a lot of water to keep shape.

Sorry for asking again, but I really am not sure where this park is, if I could see it in person I might come up with some ideas. So again I ask is this by the rec center on high ridge park? because I havent seen anything like this near high ridge.

Yes Highridge. It's in the back via dirtroad. A couple hundred feet south of the baseball fields.
