Crashed & broke my shoulder. Can someone recommend an Orthopedic Surgeon in Austin?

I had to walk my bike about a mile down south congress after to get home. Don't have too much fun out there without me!

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry to hear it man. I'm sure that walk sucked. How did it happen?

I've used a doc at TX Orthopedics on N. 183 several times when I raced motorcycles. He seems sports friendly but then I pretty much put his kids thru college.

I had a break right thru my left shoulder joint. It wasn't aligned perfectly, as in the round joint was like to half rounds not mated to each other very well. The doctor and I spent some time talking about it and decided against any surgery at all. I have zero pain or loss of mobility or strength from the accident. So consider that before doing anything.

Other injuries he has fixed include, blown out knee, two broken scapulas, broken same clavicle 2x 6 weeks apart (didn't go to doctor at all, had to be repaired later), broken wrist 4x, shattered hand (required surgery), broken chip off an ulna arm bone (only MTB injury), disintegrated L1 vertebrae, feet bones several times, more ribs and crap than I can count. If at the age of 44 if I seem reluctant to send it, now you know why!

Thanks for the recommendation! Made an appointment yesterday.

There's a wooded area near Stassney and South Congress with some decent drops. My rear tire slid on a descent and I fell on my left side - similar to when a QB gets sacked. I'm was trying to get the hang of some clipless pedal and they're really tight,so that probably made things worse. Going to add my flat pedals on soon.

Man, youve been beaten up over the years!
