Cranksgiving 6-Hour Ride Saturday November 26

Fuel up on an extra helping of mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie and then show us your own personal version of turkey power as you hits the challenging trails at Pace Bend Park for up to six hours. This is the second year of this grassroots event and will benefit The Camacho Center Mountain Bike Team, part of the Austin Parks and Recreation Department. This awesome program trains aspiring racer kids from 8 to 16 years of age. Training rides head out from the Camacho Activity Center weekday afternoons and the racers participate in area races and events.

Registration includes six hours of singletrack fun, sports drink and snacks during the ride, prize raffle and post-ride feast. Race pace or a casual jaunt, whatever spins your wheels. Earn a raffle ticket for each lap you complete. Go to Welcome to Austin Ridge Riders | Austin Ridge Riders for more details.

There are plenty of primitive camping sites, but reservations are encouraged for RV sites w/hookups. The park will be open to the public during this event. Maps and other information about the park at: <www.co.travis.tx.us/tnr/parks/pace_bend.asp>.

Many thanks to our sponsors who make it possible for us host this event and benefit a program we strongly believe in: The Bicycle Sport Shop, REI, University Cyclery, The North Face, Reveille Peak Ranch, Clif Bar, Oakley, Chronic Cycling, Real Ale Brewing and RK Design.
