    Cameron Park Trail Conditions

We plan on driving from Houston to Cameron Park in Waco this Saturday, the 24th. Unfortunately, forecast for Friday night / Saturday morning is rain . I understand that depending on how much rain we get but does anybody know how quickly the trail dries up after a rainfall? Parks dept cannot give any opinion as to trail condition after such rain. Anybody from Waco or familiar with the trail who can advise? Thanks.

It dries out quickly, but not quickly enough if you're talking about riding Saturday after a Friday night/Saturday monring thunderstorm. The only chance you have is if it doesn't rain at all or only drizzles.

I guess it is not advisable to ride on Saturday morning then? We plan on spending the night in Waco and ride by 10 a.m. Saturday. With a forecast of 40 - 60% chance of rain, depending on the source, I hate to drive all the way to Waco and not be able to ride the trail. Thanks for the input RipTide.
