    Best Trail near E. Dallas?
I will be coming into Dallas (from Tyler) and thought I could get in a late afternoon ride. Where should I go? I grew up riding Tyler State Park and anything comparable would be nice. Thanks in advance

I would assume everything is wet and closed today (4/18/2013).

Primary trail on the East side would be Rowlett Creep Preserve. It is not really comparible to Tyler. The trail surface is clay/dirt/mud floodplane sediment.

Not far from the East side would be the southern trails, Boulder, Oak Cliff Nature Preserve, Cedar Hill State Park, and Big Cedar.

Highest fun factor and most vehicle security (IMO) would be Cedar Hill, or Big Cedar.

All the Dallas trails have info online with DORBA: Dallas Off Road Bicycle Association

Rowlett Creek Park (RCP) is my local loop approx 15 miles, I have never ridden Tyler (heard its pretty nice though!).

14 loops total. Loop 1 and Loops south of the parking lot are easy going. Loops 7 and up have fun sections, couple of creeks, tight tree lines etc.

There is a small trail in Rockwall called squabble (approx 6 miles) more for beginners though.
