Purgatory Creek / Prospect Park, San Marcos. Rock Gardens FTW.

Reveille is my favorite, it like riding on another plant. Skip Cameron, over grown and confusing.

And Reimer is solid also, not very tech but good pedal time.

I disagree on cameron. It is 90 minutes from austin but still worth the drive.

Agree re: Cameron, though for those with merely a map it might seem a bit overwhelming

Pace Bend is a hoot and city park is a lot of fun if you have the chops for it.

theyre generally pretty smooth with a few technical challenges. nothing very crazy though. for Texas, it has a pretty good amount of elevation change

I'm not sure if it's within an hour, but it's close... my choice would be Bluff Creek Ranch even though it's only about 7.5 miles for a loop.

That being said, I haven't yet been to several of the destinations already listed here.
    Orbea Alma
    Ritchey Road Logic
    Surly Karate Monkey
    Diamondback Haanjo
    Specialized Epic Marathon
