    Barber hills? New Dorba Trail?

So a new trail showed up on my dora trail list yesterday called Barber Hills, near powdery Texas. I have done a little research and found the basic info, but looking for some more details?

Is this a new trail or just new to dorba?
Where are the trail heads to park?

Any info would be helpful. With most of our trails being closed due to the relentless rain. I would like to ride something and something new would be even better. Its a drive from Fort Worth so just doing my homework before making the drive.
I don't always listen to slayer, but when I do so do the neighbors.

This is a really old thread, but I live near these trails. There is a trail head and parking. Trails have been constantly improved for several years, plenty of bridges, lots of ups and downs. About 15 miles total of trails.

At the trailhead there's some small rock gardens, bridges, and a seesaw, as well as picnic tables. There are bathrooms down past the trailhead inside the park.

I'm in DFW and made it out there back in August. The woods are beautiful, trail surface is nice compared to the bare dirt on some of the DFW trails, and there were some pretty big downs and a few killer climbs. Without a doubt I highly recommend.

Bamwa has a good plan. I've been "needing" a road trip to hit up some good and new to me trails! Need about a 4 day trip to Arkansas, and hit some stuff on the way! I put this on my mtbproject app's to do list... Thanks for posting this info.

you bet. Trails are now pretty leaf covered, we just got some rain over the weekend so the dirt should be much better, they were pretty dusty the past couple weeks. Also in the winter the park (where the lake is) closes for the winter, you can still go in there but bathrooms may be locked. So if you need to go may want to hit a gas station on the highway before getting to the trail.

I am going to try to get out there in the next few weeks. Will post up then in case anyone can meet up.

I rode in Washington state last year, and this trail actually resembled the trails out there to some degree. Totally different than the DFW trails.

That's really got my interest piqued now!!! Thanks JACKL
I rode Isle of Du Bois for the first time this past Tuesday. It was ok but I wont be back for some time as it's 80 miles one way from where I live... That xtreme rock section was an ass kicker. Felt more like trials riding.
