Austin on Friday - Where to ride?

Coming up to Bees Cave for a business retreat on Friday-Sunday. I have to check in by 7:00pm on Friday. I'll leave Houston around 7:00am and arrive in Austin around 10:00am. Where should I ride on Friday before work? Bringing my hardtail and want to ride some smooth single track. Do not want techie rock sections. Also, anyone want to ride that day?

I recommend hitting Bluff Creek in Warda on your way in from Houston. It's a fairly short, smooth singletrack half way between Houston and Austin. Then I'd rest a bit on the drive into Austin, get some lunch and continue on to Reimers Ranch. Take the beginners trail. This should have you finishing up very close to Bee Caves just in time to check in.

We got some rain. It's been drying out. Some trails dry out faster. Where are you planning to ride?

Walnut Creek. I'll check it out today. If it's not dry, I'll ride on Sunday!
