    Austin forecast w/rain, bring bike?

Iím flying into Austin on 26 December, flying back out on 29 December. Given the forecast, should I just leave my bike at home?

You can always rent a bike from Bicycle Sport Shop on Lamar (I think) if the weather cooperates. Maybe take your own helmet, pedals, and shoes. You can ride to the green belt from the shop.

There is a free ride spot place called Emma Long motorcycle park that is great riding even in a torrential downpour. 100% traction, no mud. So if it pours, and you can stay warm, you can still ride.

Thanks all. Mostly hopping Thursday is salvageable to ride. I have the V3 Ibis Ripley and most rentals would be a let down.

I think I can manage to stay warm. Spent last 2 days in Sedona and ride National trail in Tempe/Phx today and still have all of my cold weather gear from living in DC area.

got out for a ride today at walnut creek and it was dry in most areas and tacky in a few but would expect about the same for the next day or two. Don't have to worry about it being cold should be in the high 40F's to low 50F's so you should be fine.
