    26 to 29er?

Ok, new to full suspension here so I want to ask what may be a silly question.

Possible to take a 26" wheel full suspension tandem and modify it to 29"? Front end would seem simple. Rear end, buying a new rear triangle, say from Ventana?

It would mean new wheels, new fork, new rear triangle, possibly new rear shock and certainly some other smaller parts. Perhaps that all makes it too complicated / expensive.

But when I see used 26" ECDMs, my mind wanders.

Any thoughts welcome, including - no way, my friend.

    Thanks.

    Charles

Nope. You can make it a 69er with a different front fork, but Ventana can't change out the rear end. I asked a while back if they could on our 26" S&S. No go. So I bought up 8 26x2.5" tires while I could.

26" ECdMs, love 'em for what they are.

I would say depending on where and how you ride, the 29 may not be an advantage. The 26 is no slouch.

We love our 26. If we ever change, it will be for a 27.5 frame and wheels. Probably a non production frame to suit my preference to better handling.
