    New question here. Surly Fork

Hello everyone; does anyoen know if there are factory eyelets to secure a front rack or whatever they are called on the Surly fork for the Big Fat Dummy or the Big Dummy?

Thank you all for your time; I have a very small screen and can not see anything.

The BFD uses the Wednesday fork, which includes 3 mounts on each blade.

The BD fork only offers fender eyelets, for some reason.

Also regarding Surly forks. Does anyone know if suspension corrected Troll and Ogre forks will continue to be available or if Surly is getting rid of existing stock? I.e. Will suspension corrected Troll and Ogre forks cease to be available after current stocks are depleted?

If the latter, might we see non suspension corrected forks for those models become available? Perhaps with the updated cage mounts etc.

To answer my own question, it looks like aftermarket Ogre forks will be suspension corrected (Edit: and non suspension corrected), while the aftermarket Troll forks will be available in both suspension-corrected and non suspension-corrected versions.

Now I just need a second hand frame from somewhere and I can decide on whether I want Karate Monkey or Ogre forks (Edit: I have a 27.5 frame and will probably go with Troll forks to make a Faux Troll Bikepacker).

On the subject of Surly forks, I just have to say that I'm really glad they still use tapered steel forks and QRs for their 'all road' bikes. The current trend of putting uber-stiff, oversized carbon forks and thru-axles on road/gravel/cross bikes is, 1) complete overkill, imo and, 2) fugly as hell.

    That is all.
