    Slicks on Large Marge Rims?

Has anyone put slick tires on a Large Marge rim - like a Maxxis Hookworm? 2.4" or 2.5" are the fattest I can find on the net.
In the Surly blog they say you can go as small as 2.35" with an off-road tire but I have seen no pictures of this done. I don't want to buy 2 new tires and have them not fit on my Pugsley.

I've seen pics of Dave Gray's Xtracycle/Instigator with a LM/Hookworm combo on the front.

I have used a Panaracer Megablaster 2.5 on mine with good results.

Thanks Mojoe. I have seen that picture before on the Surly blog but had not noticed the front LM rim or fat tire. I can get the hookworms in New Zealand.

    Kenda Flame 26 X 3.0"

Mounts up great on the Large Marge. It's got a ton of volume and a slick tread with inset flame pattern. You can have your LBS order some through J & B. Weighs around 1250g.

I was asking the same question, found this thread via search. I want to ride my Pugsley in the summer as a cruiser but don't want to wear out my very expensive Endomorph tires.

I was thinking Maxxis Hookworm (2.5) or maybe a Schwalbe Big Apple (2.3), but that 3.0 Kenda cruiser tire would be awesome. Is that still made? I can only find 2.1 online.
