    racks for 1x1

I'm planning a mulit-day off road ride with the 1x1. Not too many front racks for the fork with disc brakes. Anyone using racks front and rear? I am also looking for some help attaching my BOB trailer to my bike. I have a surly bolt-on rear wheel. Some where i saw adapters but can't remember where.

For racks you best bet is probably old man mountain http://www.oldmanmountain.com. Their racks are designed around disk brakes and have a very nice strong mounting to the break studs.

As for the BOB trailer it took a little work to get mine working with Avid disks and my 1x1. I used the BOB Nutz but to get them to work I need to space out the one on the disk side. To do this I used a Surly chaintug and a washer from a BMX hub. The other thing to notice is that the BOB Nutz can be taken apart and the "bushing" that the trailer attaches to has a thick and thin side, so you can swap it around for a little more clearence.

    Hope this helps.

By the way, headland makes a knock-off of the old man mountain racks that cost a little less if you can get them http://www.headlandbike.com/racks/ra.../racksmain.htm
