    Instigrampus (or Krampstigator?)

I've been meaning to build up my old Instigator 1.0 frame for a while, but couldn't decide what to do with it, and it obviously depended on what I could find in the spares 'box'.

This was nominally a bike to pull the bike trailer with our two girls in, but since building it up last week I've taken it out on 3 rides (30, 20 and 50 miles apiece), with lots of singletrack, and even a couple of DHish trails. It's great

    Instigator 1.0 frame.
Krampus fork - my Krampus is currently sporting a Manitou Magnum, so this was going spare.
    1 x 10 gearing with a NW ring.
A bombproof set of Hussefelt DH cranks and BB.
DMR stem and some no name highish rise bars.
Mavic 27.5 rear wheel with a 2.25 WTB Trailboss - this just fits.
Stans 27.5 Flow EX front wheel with a 2.8 Vee Tire Crown Gem.

    It's my new favourite bike!

I have a lead on a Large sized Instigator 1.0 frame for a good price and have this itch to build it up. Not anything I need, but it would make a fun winter bomber. I was wondering how big a 26" tire you can fit in the rear? Will it take a 3" on a 40-50mm rim?

For suspension forks, what sort of travel and A to C is recommended? I see you're using a Krampus fork, which I also happen to have on hand if I go rigid.
