    cross check size

I recently bought a cross check complete size 54cm. I am wondering now if I should have purchased a 56. With the stock stem(105mm) I can see the front hub over the bars. I am now running a 120mm stem and my view of the hub is obscructed by the bars. Standover clearance is about an inch and a half. The only problem I have now is that my neck feels a little uncomfortable when riding on the hoods, looking forward. I am 5ft 9in with a 32 inseam.

    thanks for any help

Try a stem with more rise to get the bars higher.

I've never rode the CrossCheck nor any road type bike prior to buying and I'm still wondering about the fit. I'm 5'10 - 32" , choose the 54 w/Thomson Set back post and 100mmx40rise w/Moustache bars. Seems to be spot on even al little stretched out and yes I can see the front hub over the bars if I'm all the way in the drops.
    Btw, I love the ride!
I'm thinking about trying the Midge bars w/100x5 stem.
    The steel is comfy

You are the same height and inseam as me. I ride a 54 with a 110mm stem and 15 deg. rise.
