    XX1 1x11 drivetrain replacement

Well i just want to replace the rear deraileur, cassette and chain. My setup is not holding up in 1st gear anymore. I am thinking of going to X01 or alike so save some $$. Should i just start with the rear deraileur and see how it goes? If so what one should I buy?

What's wrong with it now? You can't take the rd apart to clean it up or put a new jockey wheel in? Shift cable should refresh the setup too. You can bling out the jockeywheel with companies like enduroseal who make aftermarket jockey wheels...

This could be your cassette wearing down. It could be shifter cable not working so well anymore. Is your jockey wheels aligned with your 1st gear correctly?

I think there are plenty of fixes you should attempt before investing in a whole new system.

If its only the 42T that worn out on your XX1 cassette...you can get just the 42T from Wolf Tooth or OneUp...or you can get a whole GX cassette for around $100. The GX has a steel 42T that will last longer vs the aluminum on the X1/X01/XX1 cassettes.

If you can clear a 9t in the back I would give the e13 cassette a try. 9-46 you can basically kick eagle in the arse ;-)

If you have a Hope Hub you can use their proprietary wide range cassette
