X.9 rear derailleur and 36 tooth cassette?

X.9 rear derailleur and 12-36 tooth cassette from Shimano. Will this work? I know SRAM only makes a 34 tooth cassette.

    Thanks for any input!

Works fine, spec'd as factory issue on some Specialized 29'ers.

Depends on the setup. There was, and still is, an issue of the '10 X9 (and X7) having their capacity over rated by at least 4 teeth. They may be able to make the shift fine, but when adjusted properly they will not be able to take up the slack (if you plan on running a traditional MTB triple).
