Use of Dbl tap 10spd flat bar shifters

Any body used the 10 speed flat bar dbl tap shifters to make their own 2x10 system?

Was thinking of using those with a X9 RD and finding a 10 speed cassette.

    Why?

I just don't want to pay that much for XX.

The double tap 10 speed uses the road pull ratio...not directly compatible with X series mountain dérailleurs. Only the 9 speed double tap shifters are compatible with the mountain dérailleur.

Just wait till this fall...10 speed will be available in X0 and possibly lower by then.

XX derailleurs will work with the road shifters, but I'm assuming you don't want to pay for the XX derailleur either. You could go with SRAM Rival RD with up to an 11-28 cassette. Or use a full shimano system (flat bar shifter and any MTB RD).
