    Road Bar SRAM Shifters

I need a SRAM shifter that is compatible with a MTB rear derailler and a road drop bar. What options do I have? It is for a commuter and does not have to look pretty. I would prefer something that is relatively inexpensive. I thought the grip shifters would work before remembering that the bars were different diameters. I do not really want the double tap shifters.

Sram does make bar end shifters.

Since you dont want the double tap road shifters, you could try to mount any of the trigger shifters to a road bar and "massage" it around until it gets in the right position for you.

You could use a grip shifter and just keep it at the bottom of the bar like a bar end shifter and that would work also.

    Good luck

The grip shifter was my first choice, but road bars are a different diameter, or at least the ones that I have are. I'm aware of the bar end, I was just looking for other options out there.

Has anyone used a grip shifter on a road bar?
