The right way to install Pike lowers. Extend or compress?

Is there are recommended way to install the lowers on the Pike?

One one hand you can extend the damper and and air shafts fully and install the lowers at full extension.

On the other hand you can compress the lowers as far as you would like before engaging the damper and air shafts.

One way will leave the pressure in the lowers equal to the outside but should also assist the solo air spring in support of the fork under compression. The other way will create a vacuum in the lowers once the solo air spring is pumped up and the lowers are extended, and I assume assist the negative air spring making the fork more supple as well as making it more linear in it's travel.

I always install with them about half.

Theres so much elevation change that air pressures in the lowers fluctuate and sometimes need a burp anyways. The end of a zip tie between the stanchions and seals work great.

I do them with the air spring rod fully extended. Done it half way before and this gives you a neg spring off the top. Though it may equalize with time.

Pretty sure the SRAM way is with the rods extended.

Not only will it equalize but it'll build pressure over time, hence the burping.
